The backsplash is the one surface in a kitchen that is always in view and always being looked at. A handcut mosaic panel turns it into the room’s artwork — and unlike a print, it wipes clean, takes heat, and never fades.
Vitreous glass mosaic is genuinely suited to the hardest-working wall in the kitchen. It is non-porous, so grease and cooking splatter wipe off. It will not discolour. It handles the heat behind a hob where painted surfaces blister. And it can be scrubbed without fear, which is more than can be said for printed splashback panels and vinyl film.
\nThe practical specification matters though. Behind a hob, keep a clear zone of at least the hob width plus 100 mm each side in a plain or simple mosaic, and let the artwork sit to one side or above. That way the piece stays visible instead of being hidden by pans.

All backsplash panels are cut to your run and splash height — nothing here is a fixed product size.
Yes. Vitreous glass is fired at over 1,000 °C in manufacture and takes radiant heat far better than paint or laminate. The practical limit is the adhesive and grout, so we always specify a heat-rated cementitious or epoxy system for the hob zone.
Warm water and a soft cloth for everyday cleaning; a mild non-abrasive cleaner for grease. Avoid aggressive acidic descalers and abrasive pads on gold-leaf glass, which can dull the surface. Grout can be sealed on installation for easier maintenance.
Yes — send the cabinet and worktop details, or a paint reference, and we will build a glass palette against it. Since glass colour runs through the body of the material, the palette is stable and will not drift from the sample.
