A bathroom is the one room where you are alone with a surface for twenty minutes at a time. Mosaic belongs here more than anywhere: it is waterproof by nature, it handles steam, and it gives a small room a focal point that costs almost no floor area.
Vitreous glass mosaic is non-porous and dimensionally stable. Steam does not lift it, condensation does not stain it, and it tolerates the repeated wet-dry cycling of a shower far better than most decorative finishes. This is the same material family used in swimming pools, and it has been used in baths and hammams for two thousand years for exactly these reasons.
\nPlan the fittings first. Give us the positions of the shower valve, handset rail, mirror, light fittings and towel rail before we compose the artwork. Reworking a mural around a fitting after it is cut is expensive; setting out around it at design stage costs nothing.

Yes, provided the whole assembly is specified as a wet-room system: a suitable waterproof substrate or tanking membrane, a polymer-modified or epoxy adhesive, and an epoxy or sealed cementitious grout. The glass itself is unaffected by steam.
Not if the correct grout is used and the room is ventilated. Epoxy grout is effectively non-porous and is our recommendation for shower zones. Cementitious grout should be sealed on installation and the seal maintained.
Send dimensions and photographs of the wall including the reveal depth around any niche. We cut sections to suit and mark the setting-out drawing so your installer knows exactly where each section lands.
